The second festival was a much bigger event, taking place over the weekend from 29th to 31st August.

This festival was seen as Britains answer to Woodstock, coming just two weeks after the three days of peace and music.

The event also marked something of a mini comeback for Bob Dylan who headlined the Sunday concert. Other bands included The Who, King Crimson and the Moody Blues.

The programme, tickets and poster all carried the psychedelic winged King Kong design roaring over a blazing cityscape.
